Our puppy headstart program is designed for puppies 2-6 months old. What a puppy learns in these first couple months of life will be the foundation for the rest of their lives and justifiably the most important time period. While no formal training will take place what we teach them is much more valuable. First and foremost we will socialize your puppy. They will become a part of our family and join us in everyday tasks on the farm meeting people and animals, going to tractor supply, and as many dog events and group training days as we can plan during their stay. Crate training and potty training can be a tedious task when you are a busy, working puppy parent so we handle that as well. We begin free shaping obedience with treats and they typically catch on very quickly to here, heel, sit, and place. For a young gun dog it is also important to build drive and retrieve desire while they young. We will do puppy marks, white bucket drills with food, and some free shaping fetch. Young fun dogs will also be introduced to gun fire, live birds, and water(weather permitting). Our puppy program is a 2 week minimum stay and is $250 a week. Frequently people will have their 8 week old puppy stay an addition 2 to 4 weeks to complete this program prior to going home.

Our obedience program is available to all breeds of dogs over 6 months of age. The obedience program includes everything from our puppy program but this is where we formally introduce obedience with less free shaping and more formal training techniques. Our minimum stay for obedience is 4 weeks and is $300 a week.

Our gundog program is for dogs 6 months and older and is designed for hunting dogs. In this program dogs will learn obedience and then build upon that foundation with gundog specific training such as force fetch and handling. All of these skills will be transferred and built upon in the field. This is a 6 month minimum program and cost $350 a week.

We are currently only offering boarding for one family at a time so availability is very limited.
